Drunk with your parents?? That’s fantastic. When they die will you inherit their trailer??

Wow, way to be a total jerk, #1.

How are they being a total jerk?? Getting drunk with your “awesome” parents isn’t exactly a classy thing to do….

I agree, #1 comes off as kind of a jerk. I interpreted this confession a little differently… like the person was discovering a bond or common ground with their parents. Like maybe they hadn’t been close before… and they found it interesting that when everyone’s guard was let down, they enjoyed eachother.

I mean, that’s what I thought… my mind didn’t jump to “wow, that’s so not classy. I would never drink with my parents!” As if anyone on cc is fit to judge what’s classy haha.

Yeah, after re-reading, I think #1 (and perhaps 3) thought OP was like “OMG way classy mom and dad… you’re *awesome*” whereas I saw it as #4 said. Everyone’s relationship with their parents is different and I know once my brother got older and could have a beer with our dad, it changed things from son-and-father to more of a friendship-type relationship. I, however, am apparently forever the daughter, as my dad freaks if I mention I drink at all (and I’m in my late 20s)! I think it’s nice to hear someone bonding with their parents on a more adult level.

#5 - lol dad’s never change!!… I’m 27 and my dad looks at me strange if I have a small glass of wine on holidays…I’m always going to be the baby girl, I guess…
