confession n. A written or oral statement acknowledging guilt, made by one who has been accused or charged with an offense.
It is the confession, not the priest, that gives us absolution.
— Oscar Wilde
It's kind of like being in someone's head while they're praying or thinking about things they'd never say outloud.

I’m assuming you’re asking if you’re too old to be a doctor?? Taking the test is irrelevant - no there knows how old you are. So, no you’re not too old.
I’m 26 and I’ve written it twice already. I applied to med school this year, and if I don’t get in, I will do my Masters next year, which means I’ll be 29 if/when I finish that and apply again. Keep following your dreams. One of my friends is 45 and he just went to med school.

I worry about being too old once I get into med school. I wonder if anyone’ll take me seriously, especially with all the young kids in the same standing.

No.

My boyfriend is 28 and applying to schools too — will be 29 soon. And then 30. And then those years that pass by between getting into the program and then exiting the program. Is he worried about the age issue? Sure. But it’s not stopping him. And it shouldn’t stop you. You’re just fine :) Good luck to you!

I heard the average age for people getting into med school now is about 27 (I heard this from a med school student a few years ago who gave a talk at my high school). You obviously don’t want to be a doctor badly enough if you let a completely ridiculous, silly thing like age bother you.
I’m 27 and I’ve been told I look 19 still, so how do you think I feel?? I worry that maybe patients won’t take me seriously because I’m petite and look so young. But who cares.

People from all walks of life and ages are becoming doctors. My friend was in med school with a person who majored in CELLO….Yes you heard that right…freaking cello…ugh, what am I doing in Biology…
But anyways, worry about being the best doctor you can be, not about your age. You will probably meet people of all age ranges once you get in…

No, you’re not too old. People tend to respect an older-looking doctor than someone who is 24 and just out of med school, anyways. So in the long run, it may work to your advantage.
