This is my last semester teaching. I’ve been an adjunct professor for 11 years.
I’ve applied many, many times for a full-time position all across the country,
but with no luck. My students seem to really like me, tell me they learn alot,
and I get great ratings on ratemyprofessors. But, I have a great job offer with
the government in Washington, DC, and I’m going to take it. I need to get on
with my life. I start the day after my last class ends.

confession n. A written or oral statement acknowledging guilt, made by one who has been accused or charged with an offense.
It is the confession, not the priest, that gives us absolution.
— Oscar Wilde
It's kind of like being in someone's head while they're praying or thinking about things they'd never say outloud.
