Dad lost his job today.
Moms crying.
Trying to make doctors appointments for all of us before midnight–when our
health insurance expires.
Wouldnt be so terrible–if it hadnt happened last year, too.
I dont get the world. My dad is a hard worker. Never slacks. Does more than
asked. What the fuck is wrong with this world??
confession n. A written or oral statement acknowledging guilt, made by one who has been accused or charged with an offense.
It is the confession, not the priest, that gives us absolution.

It's kind of like being in someone's head while they're praying or thinking about things they'd never say outloud.

My bf just lost his job unexpectedly last week too…. slow sales…they shut down the office… these things happen unfortunately … (happened to my dad too a few years ago)…
my bf is working with his friend right now before finding something more permanent, and my dad (a truck driver), found something now, but it took about 2-3 years of trying various places before finding a good one that paid him well… its harder for dads too cause they’re often older and demand higher wages…
Keep your chin up…your family will get through it… it’s tough times for everyone now, but your dad is a hard worker with a good track record, so he will find a stable thing if he keeps at it… maybe you can help out your parents too monthly, if you have a job??

Unfortunately the economy all over America is crap now. Bush inherited a balanced budget and ended up spending 1 billion a WEEK on the war in Iraq. That money could’ve been well-spent to create and keep jobs here. And why do we still have private health care in this prosperous country?? My cousin in Canada gets free health care.
But I digress, #1 is right, your dad will find something if he keeps trying.

I wish your dad well. Your family has my empathy.

It is a very rough time. I really think the economy will be on the right track before too long. Your family will come through this like so many other Americans right now. We have had terrible leadership, I agree. Bush has made a terrible mess of our country.

#2, If you want free health care and want to wait in long lines, then move to Canada. You’re an idiot.
