I’m so picky with guys. Call me shallow but why date a man I’m not attracted to?
I’m tired of a couple of the high-achieving, Type A students around me. They
know how to suck up and act around the profs who think they’re pure gold.
Profs have no idea, they only get to see these jerks on their best behavior.
In private they treat other students like shit, keep information from people in
their group projects, are arrogant and bullying and act like other students
aren’t their peers. I have had to work with one especially who I hope never to
see again in my lifetime. She likes to work with me cuz we both get good grades
and I think other people have been burnt out by her. I try to avoid working
with her but last week the prof put us together on an assignment. I can’t tell
him what a self-serving arrogant jackass she really is. It wears me out but I
don’t know what to do.
I hate UCF’s budgeting and spending. The humanities suffer (like it does
everywhere), yet we have money to expand and build? The school is already as
big as (I think) it can get. It’s basically a concentric circle. I don’t
understand how they plan to expand… or WHY they plan to expand. We can barely
fit all the students who NEED classes into the rooms, people are on the 7 year
BA track, and liberal arts courses are held in rooms the size of a broom
closet. Yet we’re building a presidential conference area? Why do we need that?
We have FOUR “ballrooms” and two buildings that house meeting areas… why do
you need to spend $2mil on something the figurehead uses exclusively? It’s pure
bullshit.
