Confess it all at College Confessional

July 31, 2007

Anonymous at confesses,

I still have all the voice messages you left on my cellphone when we were still
together and I listen to them every day. It’s the only way I hear your voice
anymore. Brings me to tears every time.

You should think about deleting those messages… they’re probably doing you more harm than good.
Deleting them will force you to move past the relationship.
    You can do it.

  2. Anonymous Says:

agreed. the other person has probably long since moved on, you’re just harming yourself.

  3. Anonymous Says:

I agree as well. Deleting the messages will probably help you move on. Just take a deep breath, delete them, and try and move on.

chuck the phone in the ocean. you might feel better.

I did the same thing. I deleted them about a month ago, and I’ve been happier since then. I’ve been able to get over him without the constant reminder of his voice on my phone.

the best way to get over someone is to get under someone!! seriously…it works! delete the messages/emails/phone numbers/msn contacts and don’t look back. you’ll be better off

Oh, right. The best way to get over love is to screw someone. I keep forgetting that. Penis cures all, eh, #6?

I agree that you should delete the messages, but do it in your own time. Further, sleeping with people to try and get over someone is like drinking booze to forget your troubles. Except you can get an STD.

Today is 7 months for me and I finally deleted his very last message… man it felt good. I hope you too can find that satisfaction.

hahaha I love how everytime sex gets mentioned - someone always pipes up with “nice job, you’ll get an STD”… I meant you don’t have to go out and nail every guy you see with no protection, what I meant was it’s time for this person to move on and take charge of their own life. Meeting someone new and thrilling will also help to get over them, but you won’t be receptive to a new relationship if you still have the ex’s messages on your phone. Good luck to you and be strong. :)
